The Aurora shortlist is out, and our screens are well represented. The Jester leads our slate with six nominations including best picture, best director for Theo Lindqvist and best ensemble — a remarkable haul for a film that started as a late-night club story.
A nomination means the film plays one more week on the big screen, which is exactly where it belongs.
The Way of Water follows with four craft nominations, while The Paper Moon Club picked up two nods for its score and production design. All three films extend their runs from this Friday, with added late shows through awards weekend.
